The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 Adoption Statement

Notice is hereby given by Gloucester City Council, Cheltenham Borough Council and Tewkesbury Borough Council in accordance with Regulations 26 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, that the Gloucester Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Joint Core Strategy (“the Plan”) was adopted on 11 December 2017.

The Plan was the subject of an independent examination conducted by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State. The Inspector’s report was published in October 2017 and the recommended main modifications, together with additional modifications to rectify
numbering, cross-referencing and typing errors, have been included in the adopted plan.

Any person aggrieved by the Plan may make an application to the High Court under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 on the ground that:

  • the document is not within the appropriate power;

  • a procedural requirement has not been complied with.

Any application may not be made without the leave of the High Court and an application for leave must be made before the end of the period of six weeks beginning with the day after the date of adoption.
