GYPSY, TRAVELLER AND TRAVELLING SHOWPEOPLE - 'CALL FOR SITES'
Local Authorities are required to identify and allocate sites for gypsies, travellers and travelling showpeople accommodation as part of their development plans. The first stage is to identify as many sites as possible that could be suitable for development for gypsy, traveller or travelling showperson accommodation, and then to assess their potential. As part of this process a ‘call for sites’ is being undertaken and you are invited to submit for consideration any site that you feel could have potential within the local authorities of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.
Please note the purpose of this study is to assess the potential of sites for development as a gypsy, traveller or travelling showperson site. It is a technical piece of evidence and submitting a site for consideration does not guarantee it will be found suitable or that it will be allocated as part of the emerging development plan.
Submitting a site
To submit a site for consideration you must use the standard site information proforma which can be downloaded by clicking on the link below:
- ‘Call for Sites’ Site Proforma (PDF)
- 'Call for Sites' Site Proforma (MS Word)
Before filling in the site promorma, please ensure you read the additional information provided on the first page.
The ‘call for sites’ lasts for six weeks between Monday 6th September and Monday 18th October 2010. Submissions must be received no later than 5pm on Monday 18th October and submissions received after this time will not be accepted.
You can make a submission by sending a completed site proforma and location plan to info@gct-jcs.org| or by sending to the address below.
