Public Consultation

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently experiencing technical issues with the JCS email address.  As a temporary measure, in order that representations can still be submitted, a new email address has been set up which is provided below.

In April 2014, the three JCS Councils approved the Pre-Submission version of the JCS for a six week publication period which will run from Monday 30th June to Monday 11th August 2014.

This stage of the process is focussed around two specific areas; legal compliance and soundness of the plan.   This is a key stage in the plan production process and is the first stage of the statutory submission process to the Secretary of State and the subsequent Examination.

Copies of the document and other supporting information can be downloaded from the links below.  Hard copies have also been made available at locations across the JCS area, including all local libraries.  View list of deposit locations|.

Exhibitions and public events

Exhibitions are located in the reception areas of the three JCS Councils for the duration of the consultation.  Please note officers will not be present to answer questions.

In addition four public 'drop in' events are being held in the central areas of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury town and Winchcombe.  An exhibition will be available and officers will be on hand to answer questions. The events are as follows:

  • Gloucester: Saturday 5 July 2014 - King's Walk Shopping Centre (by HMV) - 12 noon to 6pm
  • Cheltenham: Saturday 12 July 2014 - Regents Arcade - 12 noon to 6pm
  • Tewkesbury - Tuesday 15 July 2014 - Tewkesbury Town Hall, 12 noon to 8pm
  • Winchcombe - Monday 28 July 2014 - Winchcombe Abbey Fields Community Centre, 12 noon to 8pm

If you are unable to make any of the events, the exhibition is available to download below.

Making comments

A response form has been prepared that you should use to make your comments.  You are strongly encouraged to use our online response system as it helps to save paper and officer time when processing them.  Alternatively you can download and complete the response form and either email to temporaryjcs@tewkesbury.gov.uk| or post it to the JCS address|.

Next steps

Following the completion of this consultation, the JCS Councils will consider the comments and, where appropriate, make minor changes to the JCS before it is submitted to the Secretary of State for an Examination.
